Introduction | I am basically a small town girl who loves the glitz and lights of the big city but can still appreciate the merits of a hot piece of cornbread slathered in butter. I've spent most of my adult life as an educator. My students have ranged from university graduate instructional technology students to neighborhood todlers learning how to eat an orange. Probably the most important lesson I have learned is to never take myself seriously. If I ever do, I can count on one of my two children or four grandchildren to set me straight. I believe that everyone is an artist; we just each express ourselves in different ways. It may take a village to raise a child, but it takes a world to create an artist. The diversity of colors, movements, shapes, and textures in our environment provide abundant media which invite us to create in our own special way. I love a good laugh, and I believe in long naps and chocolate. |

What's the most amount of sand you've ever had in your swimming trunks?
Since I avoid the beach, I've never had the "pleasure."
