| Introduction | Most days I have at least one philosophical crises- either existential (Do I exist?), metaphysical (Does this donut exist? Is the tastiness of this donut inherent in the donut, or merely a sensation produced by my brain?), epistemological (Is it true that this donut will be tasty? Is that truth dependent or independent on my existence?), ethical (Is it ok to eat this donut even though it is the last in the box? What about starving people in China who have never, ever eaten a donut?), theological (Does God already know whether I will eat this donut or not? If he already knows what I will choose, it is possible for me to make the opposite choice?), or some other field. I wouldn't have it any other way. |
