| Introduction | I've been into 'the hobby' for as long as I can remember and I can't see that changing anytime soon. I think my earliest memories were picking up Warhammer Fantasy 1st Edition and being convinced I needed a 6' x 4' table marked out in 1" squares to play it on. From there I branched out into Battletech and and the classic Games Workshop board games like Battle Cars. Obviously things have moved on somewhat since those early days and I now find that my interests have grown. Sure I still enjoy a good old fantasy yarn but am increasingly finding the pull towards historical and weird settings. I guess it's on almost every wargamer's bucket list to have a Napoleonic army at some point and I'm no exception. With the massive growth in both quality games and miniatures over recent times it has become increasingly difficult to resist 'shiny new toy' syndrome. I am hoping that by attempting to blog my exploits it will keep me motivated to reach that state of euphoria that can only be found by finishing off the last model in a project. |
