Introduction Plastic Section is a raw rock 'n' roll band led by musician and artist Ben Edwards from Sydney, Australia, with Put Wednesday Suksriwan on drums and Pok Wannarit Pongprayoon on bass. Plastic Section are currently based in Bangkok, Thailand. Plastic Section play an idiosyncratic update of raw roots rock 'n' roll, crazy rockabilly and switchblade rhythm and blues, with the odd detour into surreal strangeness. Plastic Section honed their sound with a weekly residency at Bangkok's groovy Motorcycle Emptiness Bar in 2011, during which new songs were written for almost every performance. Ben also co-leads a band called Basement Tape, who have since 2009 released two albums (with Panda Records and Spicy Disc), appeared on numerous Thai TV shows, had songs used in movies and played numerous gigs including Fat Festivals, Big Mountain Festivals and support spots with Tahiti 80, The dodos and Whitest Boy Alive.
