| Introduction | This web blog will feature photographs of the prairie, prairie plants, and prairie landscape design projects by nature photographer Karma Grotelueschen. Prairie once covered the land from Canada to Texas, Ohio to Montana in vast rolling seas of grass and flowers. Now, tiny remnants remain and environmentalists and preservationists and countless volunteers work to save and restore and reconstruct prairies. These photographs are from landscapes I have designed as well as from Wisconsin and Illinois prairies, from state parks, forest preserves, the Morton Arboretum, Garfield Farm Museum, trails, commercial landscapes and private gardens. I am nature photographer and landscape designer and prairie volunteer.
