| Introduction | I decided to write a blog to share what I've learned about saving money. I'll tackle each area of my life (and budget) and challenge myself to reduce expenses in that area, without reducing quality of life. When I thought about my own personal philosophy about saving money, I realized that the first place I find inspiration is the phrase "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle." So often, what we do to save money, will also save the environment. So whenever my motivation flags, I'll remind myself this isn't just about the money. And I definitely believe that time is money, so I'll try to include lots of time saving tips as well. If nothing else, you'll hopefully save some time by utilizing the research I've pulled together. There are lots of great personal finance blogs out there. If I have a unique niche, it is that I tend to be compulsively thorough. When I write about saving money in a particular area of your life, I'm pretty sure you'll find at least one or two tips you didn't see on the first 5 sites you looked at...at least I hope so. |
