| Introduction | I never thought much about my “occupation,” until I graduated from college with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and could no longer claim to be student. I felt that an occupation should be something to which I aspired, but I had not a clue what that would be and felt lost in life. It took time to build up my courage and self-confidence to make a change, but in the summer of 2009, I began traveling and volunteering around the world. I feel that, in some small way, I am making a difference; just as I had longed to do. In addition, this time has allowed me to reflect upon and learn from my travels and experiences, so that even returning home offers new lessons. And so, I hope to continue making a difference by sharing these with you! |
