Introduction	Hi! I am Carmen! I took my first adventure trip at 17, when I won a contest, together with another 500 youths from 50 countries, to explore in a sustainable and didactic journey the secrets of the Maya world for 7 weeks! After finishing my studies, I went out of my comfort zone again! First, I went to Munich where I spent 3 years, and later I lived in Japan for 6 years. I did not know the respective languages then! Many years later I joined an adventure trip when I was 39! I found an announcement of an alpinist looking for mates for the Himalayas! I had no experience but I was reasonably fit, so she accepted me (just for the approach trek) and since then, there is no stop! The further you travel, the more you can learn! Your senses will also be fascinated with new sights, smells, tastes, stories... There is always something positive to learn from other cultures, and I also strive to give back my best :D I have a passion for nature, so lately I do mountaineering trips much more often than urban tours... On the other hand, as a scientist, I also enjoy commenting on some interesting points about how auroras or volcanoes are formed, for example... I just can't avoid it!
