| Introduction | I've dallied the thought of going open water swimming for some time, but never quite got there. These the words of a woman who barely goes swimming in the sea, even in Mediterranean locations. However, as a kid I used to swim in the sea off Whitby, Sandsend and Runswick all the time. How can it be I've turned into such a whimp? Hopefully through my training for the Great North Swim I can recapture my love for swimming in cold water. |
