| Introduction | Our first motorhome was a used 1987 Winnebago Minnie-Winnie 26' Class-C which we bought in 1996 from a neighbor in Preston, CT. During the next four years we vacationed in Myrtle Beach, SC each winter, Cape Cod, MA each summer, spent weekends at the Rhode Island shores or in the mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire and discovered we always dreaded having to return home rather than continue traveling. We joining the FMCA Club and Escapees RV Club and during the next few years attended RV rallies and camping shows. We set August 1, 2003 as our retirement date and the first day of our new RV-ing lifestyle. On July, 2002, after one viewing, our house sold and we immediately purchased a 2002 Itasca Horizon 40' diesel-pusher, moved in, sold or donated nearly all our possesions and started our new lifestyle. We now own a 2008 Safari Cheetah and atten years later we're still "on the road." |
