| Introduction | I have worked hard all my life and know the pains of being in the working class. My views have been labeled as liberal, socialist, communist, unrealistic and I have been called a traitor. All because I believe that workers should have rights, that the poor should be educated and fed, that health care and education should not be so expensive that it is unattainable, that war is never the answer...and so on. But for those of us on the underside of society, we are the glue that holds it together. Without workers and consumers, there is no market place. That is why they are shooting for globalization, to lower our wages, our standards of living, and buffer themselves from any possibility of a revolt. |
