| Introduction | Wow, where do I begin??? My passions are these... my relationship with my Creator and Savior, Jesus Christ ... my rockin-hottie-but-dang-smart-too husband Kevin ... my wicked-smart-but-still-funny-firstborn Garrett ... my uber-creative-and-super-smart-baby-boy Nolan (are you sensing a pattern here? the definitely get their smarts from their dad). I volunteer at Kalamazoo Community Church with the student ministries. I am humbled every day that God picked me to share His story with students and to love them like He loves me - without judgment or conditions. Check out Ephesians 3:7-9 (I especially like the wording in the New Living Translation). I am totally the least deserving Christian there is, but man, did He take a chance on me!! So here I am, hanging out with these very cool students at every available opportunity! FYI - my other favorite verse is Romans 8:28, because I have witnessed in my own life how He has worked ALL things together for good. I am totally God’s girl and I have total faith in His purpose for my life. |
| Interests | You are my interest… if you got some baggage, or are messed up, or come to church, or don't like The Church, or are living by a string, or love the Lord, or don't know the Lord, or have some questions that need answering, or some answers you want to question, or live a great life, or live a double life, or want to belong, or hate conformity, I want to meet you cuz I've been all of these. Nothing you say or do will shock me or make me not like you. I will accept you where you are today, but I might challenge you on where you'll be tomorrow. :-> |
| Favorite books | duh! The Bible of course... favorite translations include The Message and am really diggin the One Minute Bible for Students right now with my Thursday small group. I like to read non-fiction 'how-to-be-better' books, but have a nasty pattern of starting three or four at a time and then can't remember what idea came from what book - argh! Also love an occassional simply meaningless novel. |
