| Introduction | I am a certified child life specialist who worked with pediatric cancer patients at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital until becoming ill myself in 2005. I now live back in Maine and I am medically disabled due to mitochondrial disease which has caused neurological, cardiovascular and gastrointenstinal damage. Since I can no longer work as a child life specialist (a career I am most passionate about) I am aspiring to be a children's book author and hope to be able to publish books to help children dealing with hospitalization, illness, grief and breavement. |
| Interests | Reading, writing, singing, online classes, spending time with family and friends, cooking (ironic since I am on IV nutrition), knitting, playing with children, being silly, beading, scrapbooking, computer games, listening to music and watching way too much TV. |
| Favorite movies | All time fav: Out of Africa I like chick flicks, dramas, foreign films, and documentaries...no scary movies please, I am a wimp! |
