About me

Introduction	I'm a first grade teacher in a small town in southern Maine. I began teaching as a middle school educator and loved it for fourteen years. I was ready for a change a few years ago, took some time off from teaching and then returned to the classroom three years ago. I love teaching first grade! I always say that it is the toughest job I've ever had but it's also the most rewarding. I'm a single mother of three great, beautiful kids, ranging in ages from 11-19. We enjoy spending time with extended family and enjoying the outdoors. Music is a big part of our lives. My oldest daughter is studying to be a high school music teacher-she's a violinist. Her sister is a gifted songwriter. Their little brother is a supportive audience member when he's not involved in one of the many sports he enjoys.
