| Introduction | I'm a hopeless addict of birding and many other aspects of natural history and evolution. I have dabbled in bird point-count surveys (SHARP), bird banding (Sweden), and volunteer guiding for Cape May Bird Observatory (NJ) and in northwestern Ecuador. I was very fortunate to grow up in Cape May, one of the greatest migration and rarity-attracting hot spots in the world, under the guidance of an awesome collection of mentors. I am particularly interested in migration, bird vocalizations, and the biological complexity of tropical rain forests. But I equally love the ID challenges posed by seabirds, and will jump at any opportunity to join a pelagic trip. My life goal is to join a world-famous birding tour group as a professional guide. For now I'm available for guiding at very reasonable prices, please send an email to inquire. My expertise so far is in Eastern North America, Europe, Ecuador, Iceland and South Korea. |
