| Introduction | I am an old-ish, fat, arthritic, celibate lesbian, eccentric, once-upon-a-time artist...in that order. I've got a kid I love beyond reason who will soon be flying away from the nest to lead a life I want to disapprove of except that I did the same thing, an 82 year old mother I adore despite the fact she loves Sarah Palin, and I have 4 cats, including two ancient ones who could die any second now and will probably do so in my bed and on my clean sheets. I have excellent organizational and home improvement skills. I have clean driving and criminal records (now), both of which are nothing sort of miraculous. I am a top-notch Southern cook, but obsess over cooking and eating Indian (dot, not feather *snickers*) and Asian food, as well. I often smell of curry and bacon grease, yet another example of the walking, talking contradiction that I am. I don't like modern medicine, kimchee, photos of me, dogs, embalming or viewings, country music, nuclear anything, evangelical Christianity, or any GM product. I like most anything else. In the grand scheme of life, I'm pretty easy. |
