| Favorite books | Ethan Frome, Wuthering Heights,novels of Thomas Hardy, P.D. James, Saul Bellow, E. Annie Proulx, classics, NY Review of Books, Harpers for years and years -- but no longer, Lapham's Quarterly, beautiful children's books that keep a child wide-eyed with interest; and on and on long into the past to "Henny Penny ran to tell the king the sky was falling".
