| Introduction | God has blessed me with the opportunity to go to Haiti several times. Every time I am struck by the beauty and devastation of the country and its people. Although beaten down by their circumstances and politics, the Haitians are strong, resilient, passionate people seeking to rise above their country's crushing poverty. Although I go there to help them, I come away feeling like I am the one who was helped. They have taught me not to take anything for granted, whether it is health, family, food or shelter. They worship God with such passion, love and faith that I am moved to tears during their church services. We may have material wealth to share with Haiti; they have much more to share with us.
