| Introduction | Hello. I am a hobbyist luthier who has built a little in the past, but recently I have become very interested in the process of attempting to construct quality instruments. My father is a retired finish carpenter and cabinet maker, so I grew up in an environment in which I became familiar with tools and wood at a relatively young age. Now, later in life, my love of playing music (especially 'Celtic' tunes) has fused with my background in 'pounding nails'. Lutherie seems the natural marriage of these two things. Besides woodworking and music, I'm also a pretty avid fly-fisherman . . . if the picture didn't give it away. |
