Introduction Life has been a long and winding road. For nine years I taught English as a second language to international adults. During the 2009-2010 school year I was an English Language Fellow in Malang Indonesia. One fateful weekend in 2010, I decided to take a trip through the jungles of Borneo to a place called Camp Leakey. That weekend changed the course of my life radically. This blog fills you in on Chapter One. After a year of teaching on Java, I returned to Chicago and two years later officially left the stage to be with our more hairy primate cousins. Chapter Two: Teaching ESL on a chimpanzee sanctuary in Zambia. Chapter Three: See blog.
