| Introduction | I was born, raised, and taught school in California. I coached high school football and basketball in Southern California for many years. I really enjoy watching college sports especially football and basketball. I also watch the NCAA softball and baseball World Series. I love to fish. I started fishing while in high school. I loved it then and I love it now. I started fly fishing approximately 25 years ago and have done most of it in Montana. The past four out of five summers(2009-2013) were spent in Colorado and I expect to be fishing there for a number of years. In April of 2009 while fishing in Mexico I caught my first permit which weighed 25-30 pounds. I fish the local rivers here in Texas. I joined the local fly fishing club, Hill Country Fly Fishers (HCFF) when I first moved to Texas. It was a good decision as I have met great people and have learned not only where to fish but local techniques to use. I started tying flies about fifteen years ago and I'll never forget the first fish I caught on a fly I tied. What a thrill. The ultimate in fishing! It was about a 12" Rainbow and I was fishing in the Firehole River in Yellowstone Nat'l Park. |
