| Introduction | Growing rural deprivation and inequality giving rise to large scale distress migration of poor people who lend up in cities and urban location to eke out better wage and livelihood. Due to lack of social security and entitlement, often the migrants go through untold miseries and exploitation while living and working as unorganised migrant labourer in urban loccations. They too get excluded from basic service and entitlement and governance process in their native villages. I feel, the system, policy and enforcement of law should be more humane and give social security, entitlement & justice to the poor migrant worker and their families.
