| Introduction | I'm 47 and Texas born and (mostly) raised, though with extended stays in Georgia, Indonesia, California, and Arizona. Now, though, we're in Iowa! I enjoy waking up in the morning and seeing my wife lying next to me. I love hearing my 6-year-old son talk to me about how his day has gone. My daughters both want to hug me when I get home and then want a hug and a kiss before going to bed. My eldest son continues to amaze me every day as he grows in wisdom and stature and...I believe...in favor with God and people. He is also becoming an accomplished hornist. (He's signing up for his fourth year of band at his new high school this year.) We've been in our new home in the Cedar Rapids suburb of Marion for a bit over a year. We're getting ready for our second winter and have already enjoyed (and raked a bunch of) a second autumn's glory. I'm passionate about learning, and there is nothing I enjoy learning more about than my pilot and the guy who owns my pawn shop stubs: Jesus Christ.
