| Introduction | My name is Murielle, I must be a crazy person since I decided this 1st of January that I will be running the 26 miles Brighton Marathon when I actually have no prior experience running whatsoever! I must also be a dreamer as it all started out with a firm conviction that this new year I will do something to give hope or at least improve lives of the most disempowered people in the world. I felt that with 2011 I was ready for CHANGE and for ACTION! If Genius is indeed “1% inspiration and 99% perspiration” as declared by Thomas Edison (1902) with my 98% perspiration I hope to inspire, share and challenge established ideas. While I might be sweating and puffing around Brighton,getting ready for the big day, raising funds for my chosen organisation (Water Aid) I hope this blog will become a space for interaction and exchange . I 'll be commenting on my preparation for the Marathon, informing about Water Aid's work and raising my voice regarding current issues affecting the developing world. Welcome to my 98% perspiration journey, I leave you free to do the remaining 1% perspiration! |
