| Introduction | Love anything creative. Born and raised in Alabama and definitely a southern girl. I have always loved antiques, thrift shops, yard sales and flea markets. I love a great "find". I love finding things that are nostalgic and bring back childhood memories, such as Grandma's blue willow, Watt pottery, churns, furniture, fountains,gardening, creative landscaping. I also have what we would call a musical family, loving, playing and singing bluegrass, gospel and country music. I myself play the upright bass in our family band called "Johnson Grass" due to the fact my maiden name is Johnson and my father (who often tells corny and sometimes embarassing jokes when performing) decided to name the band after the famous southern weed, "Johnson Grass". I have an ever increasing desire to travel more and certainly hope to combine some of the above interests with future traveling. I come from a long line of "country cooks" so I might be sharing some southern family favorite recipes from time to time. So, hopefully this blog will give me a chance to share with you some of my many loves and interests, some vintage and nostalgic and some creative and new. |
