Introduction I've taught composition and literature courses since the early 1980's, starting as a graduate student at Michigan State University. Since 1987 I've taught in the English Department at UW-Eau Claire. For a few years I taught women's studies courses, but my growing interest in conservation history and Great Lakes area environmental issues soon came to the foreground of all my work. Since 2008 I've found great satisfaction in serving as the campus Sustainability Fellow. I am looking forward to wrapping up my career at UWEC in the next two years--and then moving to Vermont with my husband Tom!
