| Introduction | I am a photographic artist living on the, Coromandel Peninsula. My passion for photography was inspired by my father Charles Holmes, who was a talented photographer, potter and artist. I am largely self taught. This last semester I began studying for a diploma in digital photography. I am also a member of an artist co-op, The Source, in Coromandel town. Earlier this year I was one of the artists featured in the Coromandel Arts Tour. I recycle and reuse where possible for example my photo blocks are left over cuts of board from a kitchen cabinet making company that would have otherwise go into land fill. I also make photo cards and canvases of local scenery, flora and bird life. I feel very fortunate to live in such a beautiful environment on the Coromandel, where I continue to be inspired, aiming to create affordable photographic art.
