| Introduction | I dedicate this blog to my husband, Ed and to my friend Justin and his lovely family. I’ve created this site with the hope that it may serve as a dedicated forum for the formation of faith for children and youth with autism where the wisdom and insight of parents, religious educators, persons with autism and others can be harnessed and shared. My name is Susan Swanson and I am currently completing a postgraduate degree at Boston College in Religious Education with a specialty in the formation of faith for children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. My interest in developing this blog came about from my experiences working as a speech/language pathologist specializing in children diagnosed with autism. I am in private practice and consult to families and Catholic religious education programs regarding how to support children with autism in the formation of their faith. |
