| Introduction | I live on the gulf coast of Florida with my guy of 10 years, our three dogs and three cats, and our fish. Our free time is spent working in the yard, doing home improvement projects, and finding ways to "green" our space. We live a quiet life and enjoy the simple pleasures, it's the little things that make us happy. My "friends" call me a tree hugging liberal, I wouldn't go quite that far in describing where my interests and politics lie, what I would say is I believe in common decency, fairness, and doing what's right - not only when people are watching, but especially when they are not. I hope that in my efforts to consume less, give more, and treat all things with kindness that I am not only improving my life but the lives of others as well. It seems like such a simple thing, to live life with purpose, intention, and conviction. To remain true to one's self and one's values. To strive to do the right thing, to not be afraid to go without, to sacrifice for the greater good. I may sound idealistic, even a little naive perhaps, but in the end, how can one truly go wrong with honesty, integrity and morality? |
