| Introduction | Definitely a northerner, a native Edmontonian,Canadian. recently retired Social worker. now very much home based, needing to slow down. enjoying time in my yard, my five cats, visits with family including grandchildren, some travelling in BC and the Rockies, A casual sporty, dresser comfortable in both blue jeans or long skirt and shirt or long blue parka. Between 2002 -12 had the opportunity to contract work as a relief social work in the Nunavut, stints both at Christmas in the summer from 3 - 12 weeks at a time.Things however changed when GROUNDED with a broken hip for the summer of 2010 due to a x-c ski accident on Baffin island..Reminded about the fragility of age and using the odd ski pole or cane to prevent falls, |
