| Introduction | Definitely a northerner, a native Edmontonian and Social worker still figuring out life! Still working full time but now very much home based, needing to slow down. enjoying time in my yard, visits with family including grandchildren, some travelling in BC and the Rockies, A casual sporty, dresser comfortable in both blue jeans or long skirt and shirt or long blue parka. Between 2002 -12 had the opportunity to contract work as a relief social work in the Nunavut, stints both at Christmas in the summer from 3 - 12 weeks at a time.Things however changed when GROUNDED with a broken hip for the summer of 2010 due to a x-c ski accident on Baffin island..Reminded about the fragility of age and the odd ski pole or cane to prevent falls, have stuck abit closer to home.Currently covering three surgery units at the University Hospital and thus some new directions. |
