Introduction We are a collaborative project on Stepfamilies in the Early Modern World. We will be holding a conference in Budapest, Hungary on 30-31 May 2019 to expand the comparative scope of research on stepfamilies and examine this family form across world faiths from Europe to its colonies in the Americas, into Asia and the Ottoman Empire.
