IntroductionI am a late blogging bloomer, having only set up the account in the summer of 2010. But I love to write and luckily I can enjoy my passion as a newspaper reporter. But sometimes it is refreshing to kick back, stop writing about breaking news and just write about things I love. So hopefully that is what I will be doing - and all comments are greatfully received!
InterestsRoller Derby! I am currently a fresh meat member of the Plymouth City Roller Girls and I am loving learning all about the sport and getting to grips with those pesky skates! Check out www.plymouthcityrollergirls.co.uk for more info. Enjoying the beautiful scenery on my doorstep in the stunning South West of England. I am a short drive away from the golden beaches of Cornwall and a quick bike ride from the rugged landscape of Dartmoor. I also enjoy travelling and spending as much time as I can in the sea. I like to dabble in snowboarding but I am a low level intermediate at best, fingers crossed that improves this season. Oh and I love books, books and more books. Actually, more precisely I am currently reading my way through the top 100 classics of all time because I came to the sad realisation recently that I will never live long enough to read every book ever written.
Favorite moviesI like a bit of everything, there is always space in my DVD collection for everything from chick flicks (leave your brain at the door), to tear jerkers, horror movies, sci-fi and comedy. But if I had to, I would say the orginal (and the best) Star Wars trilogy has to be up there, along with most movies by Kevin Smith (bar Chasing Amy). And I've just seen Inception which definitly makes it into my movie hall of fame.
Favorite musicI am happy to listen to anything apart from dance music and RnB. But rock and punk are what get me jumping around the dance floor - along with a little 1980s cheesy music.
Favorite booksRebecca by Daphne Du Maurier, To Kill A Mocking Bird by Harper Lee and 1984 by George Orwell but there are so many others I have enjoyed that there isn't enough space here!
