Introduction	I am an anthropology PhD student focusing reasearch on women involved in business and NGOs that produce embroidery, handicrafts, and textiles. I am originally from Mesa, Arizona, lived last year in Indiana, and next year will move to the Boston/Connecticut area. In the past I was a teacher in Arizona and Los Angeles, a Peace Corps volunteer in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, and a graduate student at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where I received a Master's degree in Eurasian, Russian, and East European studies.
