Introduction	My name is Mike Manning. I am riding my bicycle across the United States to raise money for the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors. The Phoenix Society is a national non-profit organization created to uplift and inspire anyone affected by a burn injury through peer support, education, collaboration and advocacy. Their programs and services provide burn survivors, their loved ones, and burn care professionals with valuable resources. As a firefighter, I have seen the devastation that a burn injury can bring. I hope my journey will raise awareness and funds to help burn survivors across the country. I will begin my ride on Tuesday, May 8th in Boston, MA and finish Friday June 22nd in San Jose, CA.
