| Introduction | Thank you for visiting Rudy's Little Blog. My name is Stacy Raye, also known as "Mommy" to Rudy the cute poodle. He and I write a series of Children's books called, "Rudy's Little World." We also have a website by that name (www.RudysLittleWorld.com). In every story, Rudy is the main character. The subjects covered are a little bit different than the norm. They include blindness, transplants, living donors, going to the doctor, problem solving and diversity. Besides being educational, they are fun too! I do programs for children and adults discussing these same subjects. I am blind, had Type I Diabetes, 2 kidney transplants and a pancreas transplant (that cured the diabetes!) My husband Wayne comes with as the reader, technical specialist, and example of a living donor. He gave me a kidney on July 16, 2009. Rudy's adorable behavior inspired me to start writing children's stories which led to public speaking. I love doing both so much. I feel it is my mission to share these experiences with others with the hope of taking some of the fear out of the unknown. |
