Introduction | I'm an elementary school teacher-librarian in Spring Branch ISD in Houston. Before that, I taught language arts at a Spring Branch middle school for ten years. I live with my son, three dogs, and a garden kitty. I recently learned to crochet (my granny would be so proud of me!), but with full-time work and grad school, I don't have as much time to do it as I'd like. |
Interests | reading, writing, crochet, debate, dogs, lifelong learning, board games, card games, history, intellectual freedom |
Favorite Movies | The Gods Must Be Crazy, The Goonies, Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark |
Favorite Music | Modern and classic rock, folk ballads, Celtic, swing, cheesy classic country, just about anything but rap/hip hop and soul. |
Favorite Books | The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, Marley and Me by John Grogran, The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt, and many others! |
