Introduction	I have been a professional writer for the past thirteen years. My career began as a freelance writer for Back Stage, The Performing Arts Weekly. After a year as a freelance writer, I was hired as the managing editor of Backstage.com, which soon became a well-read and profitable part of the Back Stage family of newspapers. After five years in that position, I left to pursue a career in the performing arts, which included directing several productions, and acting in others, including Major Barbara, produced on Broadway by the Roundabout Theater in 2001. For several years, I worked as a freelance writer in both Manhattan and Los Angeles. In 2004, I returned to New Jersey, working as a local news editor. I am currently a high school English teacher.
