| Introduction | I completed my first consulting engagement 37 years ago; 18 years ago, I founded Strategic Initiatives, Inc. to focus on organizational transformation in response to the emergence of the Knowledge Economy and its higher standards of performance. During that time I have guided the leadership of hundreds of organizations, including colleges and universities, associations, technology companies, and government agencies, across the globe. Throughout my career, I have blended consulting, thought leadership, and publication. This is reflected in 20 books and monographs, plus dozens of articles and presentations.
