| Introduction | I've been writing a blog for over ten years now, but this one is new.
I have a bachelor's degree in music, and a Master of Arts in education. I teach 4th grade at a charter school in southeast Wisconsin. I am married to an amazing woman from Brazil. We care about each other more than I can express. She is my anchor. We laugh together a lot. We have two beautiful daughters, 11 and 8. They are my joy. Other than school and my family, I am a devoted practitioner of Aikido - a Japanese martial art. On March 20, 2010 I tested for 3rd kyu (sankyu), but that doesn't really matter. I train because I have so much fun and find it incredibly rewarding and satisfying. I have also met some truly wonderful people at the dojo. |

What spells can you cast with magic markers?
I can cast the most important spell of all with magic markers: I can make children want to learn.
