IntroductionI'm a writer, but I find it easier to write about everything but me. Since this is supposed to be about me, I'll try... I'm a distinct optimist, and I genuinely love people. I believe in chivalry. One friend used to say, "Geno, chivalry isn't dead. You're just hogging it all." I hope that isn't true because I would love to see more chivalry in the world. That's part of why I write. I hope and pray the characters I create will leave indelible marks on my readers. It may sound like a pie-in-the-sky dream, but I write in hopes change lives for the better... and because I just have so many stories rolling around in this head of mine :o) I can come off a little anti-social at times, but it's generally because... I know people will enjoy the stories I write. What I'm not always sure of is if they'll enjoy conversation with me. I'm married to the love of my life, Tracy, and we have a beautiful and lovable daughter named Shekinah. I currently have multiple writing projects in process and I can't wait to share them with you.
InterestsWriting, hiking, biking, drawing, reading (out loud with multiple character voices), singing, spending time with my wife Tracy, playing with my daughter Shekinah, being with family in general, being real with people even when it's hard,
Favorite moviesThe Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings Trilogy (of course), Star Wars four five and six (not 1 2 and 3), The Big Sleep, Maltese Falcon, Indiana Jones 1 & 3, The Lake House, Elizabethtown, (I hate to admit this but) The Wedding Planner (gotta love Massimo "We do da bonding"), Ladyhawk (if they would pleeeaaaase remaster the music with something that didn't suck), Mary Poppins, Singing in the Rain, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1947 Danny Kaye version. I'm holding out hope that the Ben Stiller version will not kill Walter Mitty for me), Add to this list a slough of other films in the Comedy... Action... Romantic... and Family Categories that would take way to long to list. In essence I like films that are fun meaningful and sweet. If it's too dark or lacks innocence, you can keep it.
Favorite musicI like way too much from too many eras to list them all here. So a few songs that ring in my heart from a few different eras: Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Johnny B Goode, Dock of the Bay, Unforgettable, Into the Mystic, You be Illin', Rock On, Hey Jealousy, Iris, Kryptonite, Meet Virginia, Wax on, Nothing, Greatest MC, The Mullet Song, Renaissance, Bullet, King or Cripple, Higher, With Arms Wide Open, Hero, Awake and Alive, I think that hits most of the genres... oh, and some classical and lots of movie scores, especially Harry Gregson-Williams, John Williams, John Debny, and Howard Shore (in no particular order).
Favorite booksI'll only list a few: Wolf Story by James Byron Huggins, This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti, All the Middle earth books by Tolkien, Kenny and the Dragon, The Narnia books, and most recently The Heroes Guide to Saving Your Kingdom by Christopher Healy. There are lots more, but that list tells you quite a bit about me.

Lots and lots of Old Spice.
