| Introduction | Always a traveller but occasionally settled for a few years or more. I've lived in Sydney, Adelaide the longest with stints in Darwin and Perth too, as far as Australia is concerned. In terms of more than six months then I can add Rio, Cairo, London and now Madrid, for the past five years. Regular visits to rellies near Venice and jaunts to various parts of Europe keep me fresh and my larder well stocked. |

| Favorite Movies | Nothing to report but my collection includes films from various countries and always in the original language. South Korean and Japanese films are quite interesting. "Time" and "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance", "Tampopo" and "The Hidden Blade" plus a few more recent offerings. Comedies like the Woody Allen and Monty Python selections as well as more serious stuff like "Cross of Iron" with James Mason and James Coburn. I am also a fan of Tarantino but not of his imitators. They are about as stupid as Spielberg trying to reinvent Warner Bros cartoons. |
| Favorite Music | Depends on the day and the time of day. I usually like to start the day with some classical music, fairly light and easy to begin with (maybe the Pastoral Symphony) and moving on to more heavy duty, intensive orchestrations. Then it's anything from Grunge to Blues, the occasional pop song, Italian and French music and even Latin. I tend to prefer ja |
| Favorite Books | I have a few. One is called The Glutton's Dictionary and another is Empires of the Word. Also, for something fun and educational try Your Mother's Tongue and Eats Shoots and Leaves. A few more, of course but this will do for now. |
