| Introduction | I really like the E.B.quote above. Without a sense of wonder and finding fascination and curiosity with all that's around, my soul would probably dry out. Knowing me, I'd become cynical and pretty much a cranky pants. I find my happy place telling a story by creating characters with colored pencil, pencil and ink or digitally with Adobe Illustrator. The other piece to that is writing to go along with the those illustrations. I am working towards becoming a children's book illustrator and author. It takes time and practice but I trust that I will get there. My other love is hand-lettered pieces in which I usually use a combination of pencil/pen, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. My aim is to express a message that speaks to me and encourage others or maybe inspire them. And then there's the basics of just making something that makes someone feel happy just looking at it. |
