| Introduction | I love truth, beauty, knowledge, virtues. But a description of me in a clinical way is as below! Dr.V.S.Gopalakrishnan Ph.D., IAS Retd (Mah. cadre); Ph.D. in International Trade. Masters in Physics. PG Diploma from IIAP, Paris (Institut International d Administration Publique). Voluntary retirement from IAS in 1995. Worked as Director General, World Trade Centre, Mumbai from 1995 to 2005. Now settled in Mumbai. Interested in reading; writing of essays, articles, short stories and poems; painting, cartooning and singing, all as major hobbies. Madhyama in Hindustani music (vocal). Certificate in Music Direction and Composition, Bombay University. Diploma in Cartooning from USA. Cartoons published over 40 years in newspapers and magazines. Published five books of cartoons and two books of poems. Held seven one-man painting exhibitions in Mumbai. Was Chairman, Artists' Centre, Mumbai. |
