| Introduction | Kim Barke was born and raised in New York. She’s had a strong attachment to coastal Maine since the age of 15 when she spent a summer living with her cousins and learned to weave rag rugs. Kim has a background in biochemistry and biophysics and earned a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology. She’s currently an MFA candidate in creative nonfiction at Sarah Lawrence College. Her work has appeared in The Chronogram, Ducts.org, and CommonDreams.org. |
