| Introduction | When Roger and I first started blogging in late 2004 we had just retired and moved to the Olympic Peninsula from Santa Cruz, Ca. In May of 2008, we sold our house and moved to Humboldt County, where stayed only four months. We moved back to Santa Cruz for a year, but couldn't find the right place to settle there. We're still planning to buy land again and build the energy efficient home of our dreams. Now we're in the Sierra foothills by Nevada City. This blog chronicles all of our searching. We spend our days exploring the local landscape, birdwatching, and hiking around with our binoculars and camera, enjoying our retirement immensely.
