Introduction	When I married my husband in October 2009, after a brief courtship, I had been divorced for only a year and he had been widowed for only two. I instantly became the full-time mother to a young child, a mother figure to a teenager, and a motherly friend to a young adult, just as my two own daughters left the nest to pursue their college degrees. Needless to say, life changed for all of us in a big way, and it continues to change daily, as all lives do. Things rarely go as we plan or expect but we have fun and learn a lot along the way.
