| Introduction | "If we did all the things we are capable of, we'd truly astound ourselves"
-- Thomas Edison Always a dreamer, Miss Jao was proclaimed effervescent by an adjudicator on the morning of Thursday, February 17th at the 1994 Greater Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival during her long career as a concert pianist (currently on hiatus). While her dreams are numerous and quite extravagant, Miss Jao has surprised not just herself, but others as well, with her abilities and determination for attaining these dreams. Formerly, living by the saying: "Shoot for the moon, if you miss, at least you'll be a star" (she has slightly changed the original quote - understandably so, with her obsession with all things sparkly and of star quality), she has now added the sentiments of Thomas Edison in that: "if we did all the things we are capable of, we would truly astound ourselves". Currently, Miss Jao embarks on a new adventure, venturing into the international scene as a strong, independant, young woman in the beginning of an illustrious teaching career. It remains to be seen what the future holds... *L* |
