Introduction	Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, but spent time (or did time, depending on my mood) in FL, GA, and NC. Now back in the Northeast living in New England (Central MA) and this climate, bracing though it is, feels like home and has been for more than 20 years.
Interests	Movies, books, travel, intellectual exercises for their own sake, and to solve problems (sometimes). This does not mean I'm a math whiz.
Favorite movies	Recent favorites? "The Company You Keep" which Robert Redford directed and starred in. Also enjoyed Baz Luhrmann's treatment of "The Great Gatsby".
Favorite music	Progressive metal like Queensryche and Dream Theater, smooth jazz like the Rippingtons, Paul Taylor, and Dave Koz. Some sentiment for the pop-metal of the 1980s.
Favorite books	Lately? "The Biology of Belief" by Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D. I also enjoy Robert Parker's Spenser and Sunny Randall novels. I was delighted to hear that these characters will be revived under a new author handpicked by Robert Parker's widow, Joan.
