| Introduction | I spend a great deal of time designing and building spaces in Second Life, the virtual world community. Most of my work in Second Life is for large corporations. Currently, I'm working with my partner on developing customer service training for a call center in Second Life. I also collaborate with other faculty and professionals in-world to discuss uses, exchange best practices, and come up with new ways of using Second Life, particularly for distance collaboration, education, both academic and corporate training, and communication. I teach second year students at Axia College of the University of Phoenix and am also a marketing consultant. My other interests include architecture, reading, teaching, studying ancient cultures, writing, and gardening. When I manage to separate myself from my desk chair, I can be found enjoying the good company of my friends and darling husband. |
