| Introduction | I have written avocationally all my life. When I was 36, I took the year off from my regular job (counseling in industry) to focus on creative writing. I sold several articles to Boston Globe Sunday Magazine and won first prize in fiction writing contest/Boston Phoenix Newspaper, and published other small pieces. I have also published professionally in the field of Trauma/sexual abuse and in Social Work Newspapers. Was the Director of Writing Program for employees at Polaroid Corporation, Cambridge, MA; editor of Library of Congress magazine; trade newspaper reporter, NYC; advertising copywriter, NYC.Taught writing at Boston University and University of Massachusetts and in a host of seminars/workshops. In my therapy practice have used writing as a therapeutic tool and also taught writing in institutional settings. Twenty five years as psychotherapist. Two years ago began to access energy for my own creative writing and am working successfully on novel and other pieces. |
